Why Supersonic Greens Uses a Carefully Curated Blend of 9 Microgreens

Supersonic Greens was carefully formulated with nine microgreens, spirulina, lion’s mane, pea protein and prebiotic inulin. Instead of chasing every trending ingredient, we focused on a purposeful blend that offers meaningful plant diversity without diluting the formula. Discover why every ingredient was chosen and what makes Supersonic Greens different from ordinary greens powders.

Why Supersonic Greens Uses a Carefully Curated Blend of 9 Microgreens

Why Supersonic Greens Uses a Carefully Curated Blend of Nine Microgreens

Greens powders often compete by adding more ingredients, longer labels and the latest trending wellness terms.

That can look impressive at first glance. However, more ingredients do not automatically create a better product.

When too many ingredients are added to a small daily serving, each one may only be present in a token quantity. The result can become diluted, difficult to understand and driven more by marketing trends than by thoughtful formulation.

We took a different approach when developing Supersonic Greens.

Instead of chasing every fashionable ingredient, we carefully selected a focused combination of nine microgreens, spirulina, lion’s mane mushroom, pea protein, prebiotic inulin and monk fruit.

Each ingredient needed a clear reason to be included.

More Ingredients Are Not Always Better

A long ingredient list can create the impression that a product offers more value. In reality, the size of the serving still matters.

If dozens of ingredients are squeezed into one small scoop, there may be very little of each one. The label may contain many exciting words, but the formulation itself can become unnecessarily diluted.

Our aim was to find the right balance.

We wanted enough plant diversity to provide a broad range of naturally occurring phytonutrients, but not so many ingredients that the product became a collection of tiny inclusions.

Supersonic Greens therefore contains nine microgreen varieties, not twenty, thirty or fifty unrelated ingredients.

It is a curated formula, not a catalogue of health trends.

Why We Chose Nine Microgreens

Different microgreens naturally contain different plant pigments, carotenoids, polyphenols and other phytonutrients.

No single green provides exactly the same nutritional profile as another.

The microgreen blend in Supersonic Greens contains:

Red veined sorrel, coriander, basil, pea, wheatgrass, broccoli, mint, Chinese cabbage and red cabbage microgreens.

These varieties were selected to provide complementary nutritional strengths rather than simply making the ingredient list longer.

A Broader Spectrum of Plant Compounds

Research comparing microgreen varieties has found meaningful differences in their vitamin, carotenoid and phytonutrient profiles.

Red veined sorrel, coriander and red cabbage microgreens are especially interesting for their naturally occurring carotenoids, including plant pigments such as beta-carotene, lutein and zeaxanthin.

These compounds are widely studied for their roles in normal vision, immune function and protection against oxidative stress.

Red and purple microgreens can also contribute anthocyanins and other polyphenols. These colourful plant compounds are associated with antioxidant activity and help plants protect themselves from environmental stress.

By including several complementary crops, we are not depending on one fashionable nutrient or one supposed miracle ingredient.

The benefit comes from diversity.

Why Broccoli Microgreens Matter

Broccoli microgreens are known for glucoraphanin and related compounds involved in the formation of sulforaphane.

Sulforaphane has received considerable scientific interest because of its interaction with the body’s natural antioxidant and cellular-defence pathways.

Human research using fresh broccoli microgreens has also shown that sulforaphane-related compounds can be absorbed and processed by the body.

Supersonic Greens is not marketed as a concentrated sulforaphane supplement, and the amount present in the final dried blend has not been individually quantified.

Broccoli microgreens were included because they provide a distinctive and well-researched plant profile that complements the wider formula.

Polyphenols and Colourful Plant Nutrition

Basil, coriander and mint microgreens contain naturally occurring phenolic compounds that are studied for antioxidant activity.

Red cabbage and red veined sorrel contribute colourful plant pigments, while pea and wheatgrass microgreens add chlorophyll, carotenoids and complementary leafy-green nutrients.

Together, the nine microgreens provide greater plant diversity than a powder made from only one or two greens.

This was the purpose behind the blend.

We did not choose the crops because their names were fashionable. We chose them because their plant profiles work together.

Why We Added Lion’s Mane Mushroom

Lion’s mane is one of the most widely recognised functional mushrooms used in focus, productivity and mental-performance routines.

Early human research has explored its potential relationship with cognitive function, stress and mood. However, the evidence is still developing, and results depend on factors such as dosage, preparation and the type of mushroom material used.

We therefore do not promise that Supersonic Greens will instantly improve memory or concentration.

Lion’s mane is included as part of a focus-conscious daily formulation for people who want to combine functional ingredients with their greens routine.

Why Spirulina Is Included

Spirulina is a nutrient-dense blue-green microorganism commonly used in daily greens and active-lifestyle products.

It provides its own distinctive pigment and nutritional profile, including naturally occurring phycocyanin.

Spirulina complements the microgreens rather than replacing them. The aim was to combine different plant and algae-based ingredients without allowing one component to dominate the entire formulation.

Plant-Based Protein Without Overcomplicating the Formula

Pea protein provides a plant-based protein component and helps give the blend more nutritional substance.

It also makes Supersonic Greens easier to include in smoothies, breakfast foods and post-workout routines.

We chose pea protein because it fits naturally into the product. We did not add multiple fashionable protein sources merely to make the label appear more complex.

A Gut-Conscious Formula with Prebiotic Inulin

Supersonic Greens contains added inulin, a recognised prebiotic fibre.

Prebiotics are compounds that can be used by microorganisms in the gut. Research into inulin-type fructans has shown that they can influence the composition and activity of intestinal bacteria when consumed in appropriate amounts.

The current formulation contains approximately 6 g of added inulin per 60 g container. This provides around 200 mg per recommended 2 g serving.

We are transparent about that amount.

Supersonic Greens can form part of a balanced, fibre-rich and gut-conscious diet, but it should not be treated as a replacement for vegetables, fruit, legumes, whole grains and other fibre-rich foods.

It is also not presented as a treatment for digestive conditions.

Lightly Sweetened Without Added Sugar

Monk fruit provides light sweetness without the need for added sugar.

Its role is simple. It makes the greens blend easier to enjoy without turning it into a sugary drink or introducing unnecessary artificial ingredients.

Again, it was included for a practical reason, not because it was another fashionable name to place on the label.

Grown by Arable Grow in South Africa

One of the most important differences between Supersonic Greens and many conventional greens powders is that we grow the microgreen component ourselves.

The microgreens are cultivated in Arable Grow’s controlled vertical-farming environment in South Africa.

Growing indoors allows us to carefully manage light, water and growing conditions while cultivating the crops without pesticides.

After harvesting, the microgreens are carefully dried and milled before being incorporated into the final blend.

This gives us direct knowledge of the crops and creates a traceable connection between the powder and the farm where its microgreens were grown.

Supersonic Greens is not simply a premixed green powder purchased from an unknown source and placed into branded packaging.

What We Deliberately Left Out

We could have added more mushroom varieties, exotic berries, sea plants, herbs, roots and trendy extracts.

That would have made the label longer.

It would not necessarily have made the product better.

Every additional ingredient would compete for space inside the same small daily serving. Eventually, the formula would become diluted, while the label became more impressive.

We deliberately stopped before reaching that point.

Our approach was to include:

  1. Enough microgreens to create meaningful plant diversity
  2. A functional mushroom suited to focus-conscious routines
  3. Spirulina for complementary plant and algae-based nutrition
  4. Pea protein for additional substance
  5. Inulin for a gut-conscious formulation
  6. Monk fruit for light sweetness without added sugar

Nothing was added purely because it was trending.

Is Microgreen Powder a Replacement for Fresh Vegetables?

No.

Fresh vegetables provide water, volume, fibre and nutrients that remain essential to a balanced diet.

A dried powder offers a different advantage. It provides concentration, convenience and the ability to combine several plant ingredients in one shelf-stable serving.

Supersonic Greens was developed to complement healthy eating, not replace it.

It is most useful for people who want to make their daily routine more consistent without preparing several separate powders or relying on a single green ingredient.

How to Use Supersonic Greens

Mix one measured serving, approximately 2 g, into:

Water, milk, a smoothie, a protein shake, yoghurt, oats or another cold food or drink.

Use one serving per day as part of a varied, balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Supersonic Greens?

Supersonic Greens is a South African daily greens powder containing nine vertically farmed microgreens, spirulina, lion’s mane mushroom, pea protein, prebiotic inulin and monk fruit.

Why does it contain nine microgreens?

Different microgreens contain different naturally occurring plant compounds. Using nine carefully selected varieties provides greater plant diversity without overcrowding and diluting the formulation.

Why did you not include more ingredients?

Adding more ingredients would not automatically improve the product. Because the daily serving is limited, an excessively long ingredient list could leave only token quantities of each component.

We chose a focused selection where every ingredient serves a clear purpose.

Is Supersonic Greens good for gut health?

Supersonic Greens contains added inulin, a recognised prebiotic fibre. It can form part of a balanced, fibre-rich and gut-conscious diet, but it is not intended to treat digestive conditions.

Does Supersonic Greens support focus?

The formula contains lion’s mane mushroom, a functional ingredient commonly used in focus and productivity routines. The finished product has not been clinically tested for cognitive performance, so guaranteed results should not be assumed.

Does it contain added sugar?

No added sugar is used. The powder is lightly sweetened with monk fruit.

Where are the microgreens grown?

The microgreens are grown by Arable Grow in our controlled vertical-farming environment in South Africa.

How long does one container last?

A 60 g container provides approximately 30 servings when used at the recommended serving of approximately 2 g per day.

Carefully Curated, Not Trend Driven

Supersonic Greens was not designed by collecting as many fashionable ingredients as possible.

It was developed by asking a more useful question:

Which ingredients genuinely deserve a place in the formula?

The result is a focused blend of nine microgreens and carefully selected functional ingredients, with enough diversity to be meaningful but not so much that the formulation becomes diluted.

Every ingredient has a purpose.

Nine microgreens. One carefully curated functional blend.
